Why We Built This Site
A court record search often fails because the request reaches the wrong custodian. Leopoldo Vielma, the Maverick County District Clerk, maintains district case records, while the County Clerk handles county-level files in its custody. Justice and municipal cases remain with their own courts. Texas also offers re:SearchTX for eligible statewide searches, but that system excludes criminal case records. The site brings these distinct routes, known access limits, and official contacts into a clearer path without presenting any source as complete.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guidance: how to locate and read criminal court dockets and civil court dockets
- Hearing information: where to check the court schedule and confirm a changed setting
- Case lookup routes: how a docket search differs across county, district, JP, municipal, and state systems
- Record requests: how to seek court case records, plain copies, or certified copies from the proper clerk
What We Cannot Do
Maverick County Court Docket is privately operated and has no affiliation with a Texas court, clerk, or government agency. It cannot:
- retrieve an official docket sheet or case file for a visitor
- set, change, cancel, or confirm a court hearing
- alter, remove, expunge, or seal any case record
- issue a certified copy, judgment, order, or other court document
- give legal advice about a pending or past matter
- guarantee that a listed fee, office detail, or docket entry remains current
An official or certified district-court record must come from the District Clerk. County, JP, and municipal records must come from the office that keeps that specific file.
Search Partners
Some content pages contain search tools supplied by outside companies. Those providers control their results, data practices, and prices. A paid signup reached through such a tool may generate a referral fee that supports the site. Maverick County Court Docket does not control the provider’s coverage or guarantee that its result matches an official Texas court record.
